SCHOLARSHIPS

We recognize high achieving college bound high school seniors in the Southern Maryland Tri-County area who plan to pursue science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM)-based degrees with merit-based scholarships. In 2016, $52,000 in scholarships were awarded to deserving students.

HOW TO APPLY

The John Glenn Squadron, along with many other scholarship providers in St. Mary’s County, MD, use the St. Mary’s County Business, Education, Community and Alliance, Inc. (SMCBECA) Common Scholarship Application.  The application can be found on the SMCBECA website:

Every year, usually in late January, SMCBECA conducts a Scholarship Fair.  The Scholarship Fair is an outstanding event for aspiring scholarship recipients.  Information regarding the scholarship application, and individual scholarships is available.  It is highly recommended that students who are interested in local scholarships, attend this event.

Should you have any questions regarding our scholarship program, please contact our scholarship chairman at:  mcaajohnglennsqdnscholarship@gmail.com
